Bilawal Sidhu and I recently met to discuss the AI work we’re doing at Roblox across safety, discovery, and 3D creation, with more than 300 ML pipelines running across the business. I shared what our #Cube3D foundation model can do today and our ambitious plans for the future. We also talked about how our autoregressive transformer architecture will help us get to fully functional 4D creation. We are keeping creators as the centerpiece of our plans and our thinking. Our goal is to be a catalyst for 4D creation: You can imagine a car, and the Cube will make it functional. The best part? You can iteratively edit the object, while the Cube keeps it functional! How much can you build on Roblox in just 36 hours? A few weeks ago, we challenged students at LA Hacks 2025, one of the largest hackathons in the country, to prototype experiences on Roblox to help educate others on wellbeing, online safety, and civility. Our first place winner, Bloom AI, built an experience to promote well-being and positive online interactions by allowing players to earn points and unlock items by helping the world around blossom through a variety of activities, including growing your own garden to destress and teaming up with others to clean up pollution, plant trees, and fix buildings. Positive chat interactions among players in the game create subtle "Positivity Auras," causing small plants to bloom nearby and contribute to the overall health of the area. Scripted events present players with opportunities to practice different strategies (support, direct address, reporting) for handling simulated bullying and learn about civility. Congratulations to Bloom AI for their incredible prototype and showing what’s possible on our platform. Special thanks to LA Hacks for a great event!
